Whistleblower System

At Porsche Financial Group, compliance with legal and internal regulations, as well as with the principles set forth in the Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct for Business Partners, is of the utmost importance. It is important that we become aware of any inappropriate conduct by potential employees or suppliers and put a stop to it. Pursuant to Section 18(1) of Act XXV of 2023 on complaints, reports in the public interest, and rules regarding the reporting of misconduct, our company, as an employer, has established a Whistleblower System. Pursuant to Section 19(2) of the Act, we have entrusted Volkswagen AG with the operation of an independent, impartial, and confidential reporting system; and pursuant to Section 22(4) of the Act, we have entrusted the Porsche Holding Salzburg Investigation Office with the investigation of reports. In accordance with the principle of procedural fairness, the Whistleblower System guarantees the greatest possible protection for whistleblowers, those involved, and employees assisting in the investigation of reported breaches of duty.

If your report concerns a potential serious violation of human rights or environmental protection by suppliers, the Investigation Office will notify the relevant departments, which will handle the matter accordingly.

The Whistleblower System offers various channels for reporting potential misconduct by employees and suppliers, enabling our company to investigate quickly and respond as necessary. Reports can be submitted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in any language.

The qualified and experienced staff at the Investigation Office thoroughly review every report and systematically investigate any potential misconduct by Volkswagen Group employees. First, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. The Investigation Office then evaluates your report. This involves gathering facts, particularly from the reporter. An investigation by a dedicated investigative unit will only be initiated if this initial assessment indicates a suspected violation. The Investigations Office will then evaluate the results of the investigation and recommend appropriate measures. We will provide information on the status and outcome of the proceedings without undue delay.

Any violations of the Business Partners’ Code of Conduct by suppliers—including serious risks, as well as direct and indirect violations of human rights and environmental protection by suppliers—may be reported to the Compliance Office, as may any other reports requiring immediate action. The Investigation Office informs the relevant departments, which then handle the matter accordingly. This specifically includes taking the necessary measures to minimize or eliminate violations and/or risks.

Under the law, the following government agencies shall establish separate systems for reporting misconduct:

a) the Directorate-General for the Audit of European Funds,

b) the Hungarian Competition Authority,

c) the Integrity Authority,

d) the Public Procurement Authority,

e) the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority,

f) the Hungarian National Bank,

g) the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information,

h) the National Media and Communications Authority,

i) the National Atomic Energy Agency, and

j) the Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities.

By government decree, the Government or a member of the Government may also designate a body under its direction or supervision to establish a separate whistleblowing system.

Information regarding acts or omissions that are unlawful or suspected of being unlawful, or other misconduct, may be reported to the separate whistleblowing system. Anyone may file a report with the separate whistleblowing system.
