Our sustainability strategy is an integral part of our corporate principles, as set out in the Porsche Holding evolve 2030 strategy, and focuses on seven key areas that integrate environmental, social, and governance issues. We are aware of our global responsibility and the impact our activities and products have on the environment and society. We leverage the innovative power of the PHS global network in a targeted manner to permanently reduce our ecological footprint.
End-of-life vehicles
Porsche Hungaria Zrt. fulfills its manufacturer’s obligations by opting for collective compliance, in accordance with EU Directive 2000/53/EC, Government Decree No. 369/2014 (XII. 30) on end-of-life vehicles, and Government Decree No. 80/2023 (III. 14.) on the detailed rules for the operation of the extended producer responsibility system, by opting for collective compliance, fulfills its producer obligations.
In practice, this means that the collection of end-of-life vehicles is carried out by the concession company established for waste management, MOHU MOL Waste Management Ltd., and its contracted partners.
End-of-life vehicles, regardless of the reason, may only be accepted by vehicle dismantlers contracted with them, and only they may issue the vehicle dismantling receipt, which is required for permanent removal from circulation.
The acceptance of the end-of-life vehicle and the issuance of the certificate of acceptance for dismantling remain free of charge for the vehicle’s last registered owner.
