Decarbonizing Mobility
As we continue to develop our product offering, fully electric vehicles (BEVs) are playing an increasingly important role in expanding the range of mobility solutions with lower use-phase emissions available to our customers. To support this, we rely on a broad model portfolio and close cooperation with our brand partners.
Studies assessing the full life cycle of vehicles indicate that, under current and expected future conditions in Europe, battery electric vehicles can generally generate lower greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions over their lifetime than comparable vehicles with internal combustion engines. The extent of these benefits depends on several factors, including the electricity mix, vehicle type and how the vehicle is used (e.g. ICCT, 2025).
At the same time, digital and software-based services are becoming increasingly important across the mobility ecosystem. Together with automotive manufacturers, we are working on solutions that integrate vehicles, software and services to deliver a seamless user experience.
Green Finance
Through our innovative financing products, we help customers access modern mobility solutions and the related charging infrastructure.
Circular Economy
We implement targeted measures to support the more efficient use of resources and strive to develop resource-conscious logistics solutions. These include, among other initiatives, the further development of take-back systems for used parts and the assessment and implementation of solutions that support the reuse of high-voltage batteries.
We strive for close and transparent cooperation with our suppliers. As part of our business relationships, we contractually define relevant supplier requirements.
Green Building
In planning, developing and operating our buildings, we implement solutions that can contribute to improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions associated with energy consumption.
These include, in particular, the consistent implementation of energy-efficiency measures, compliance with defined minimum standards, and the application of recognised building certification systems for new buildings.
We strive to increase the share of renewable energy sources and explore opportunities to replace fossil fuels through the use of heat pump technologies and photovoltaic systems, among other measures.
Green Operations & Digital Business
Working closely with our dealer network plays an important role in reducing our emissions. To support this, we promote the sale of products and services associated with lower-emission technologies.
At our locations, we place a strong focus on the efficient use of resources when developing sales and service processes. This includes setting energy-saving targets, advancing the digitalization of processes, and implementing measures that support waste management and responsible water use, including water recycling solutions in vehicle wash facilities.
